2023 Miami Grand Prix was a RUSH.....
The 2023 Grand Prix Miami was an unforgettable experience. As a motorsport enthusiast, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to attend this prestigious event. The three-day event took place from Friday to Sunday, with Friday being more of a party day, Saturday being a great opportunity to check out the exhibits, and Sunday being all about the main race day.
My friends and I arrived early on Sunday to get the full experience. We took the free shuttle from the Hard Rock Casino, which was a great tip for anyone who wants to avoid expensive parking lots that you must walk 2 miles from anyway. The shuttle dropped us off right at the entrance of the stadium, which saved us the trouble of having to find parking. We were excited to see the crowds of people dressed in their favorite driver's colors, and we were no exception.
As we made our way to our seats, we couldn't help but be in awe of the impressive track. The Miami Grand Prix circuit was created especially for this event and featured some of the most challenging turns in the sport. We were lucky to have perfect bandstand seats that were covered and located on a turn where we could see a lot of passing and action. The energy at the event was electrifying. The deafening noise level from the cars' engines created an atmosphere that could be felt in every cell of our bodies. The excitement was contagious, and it was impossible not to get caught up in the adrenaline rush. The guilty pleasures were also abound, with absolute unadulterated excess and shameless spending in a zombie-like frenzy to pay $180 for a t-shirt. My frugal nature lost out, and I bought a souvenir to add to the fever. The race itself was incredible. The Red Bull team seemed to race against each other and no one was even close to them. They got first and second place, which was an impressive feat.
Fans took the opportunity to support local driver Logan Sargeant. While he may have finished last in the 2023 race, Sargeant's presence on the track is a testament to the strength of the local racing community. Many fans showed their support by wearing Sargeant's colors, cheering him on during the race.
The food at the event was a bit pricey, but we found that the best value and most food was a pulled pork sandwich for around $13.00 compared to two tiny tacos for the same amount. The dress code was also a lot of fun. We saw people dressed up in all kinds of colorful outfits, wearing their favorite driver's gear, and it added to the festive atmosphere.
Overall, the 2023 Grand Prix Miami was an amazing experience that exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed every minute of it and left feeling exhilarated and inspired. Next year's event promises to be even better, and we're already planning to attend again. If you're a motorsport enthusiast, this is an event you won't want to miss. I will be posting some tips and tricks for next years events.
